Job Duties:
· Maintain an efficient and safe work environment for all plant employees.
· Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and design appropriate plant maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
· Perform CNC programming, setup, and machining for carbon composite materials, insulation boards, graphite, and customized composite sandwich packages.
· Test, inspect, and maintain machinery and tools to ensure optimum performance.
· Identify and order replacement machinery parts as needed.
· Perform CNC machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration to ensure consistent precision and performance.
· Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to new local technicians on CNC machining procedures.
· Conduct first-piece inspections using internal QA systems and 1Factory software after CNC machining.
· Assist the Engineering Department with large-scale furnace maintenance and repair projects.
· Support improvements in manufacturing processes in the machine shop to enhance efficiency and product quality.
· Collaborate with engineers to reduce material waste through accurate calculations and optimized designs.
Job Summary:
The Production Engineer at Carbon Felt, Inc. (CFI) reports to the Engineering Department manager and is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.
Job Duties:
• Maintain an efficient and safe work environment for all plant employees.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and design appropriate plant maintenance programs to reduce time.
• Test, inspect and maintain equipment, machinery and tools to ensure optimum performance.
• Maintain and review everyday logs and assist in resolving issues of tools and equipment.
• Search vendors for equipment or machinery parts and place orders if needed.
• Help program and run some machinery (i.e. cutting machine, HAAS, etc.) If needed.
• Help improve manufacturing process, either to improve efficiency or product quality. • Work with other engineers to help reduce material waste through accurate calculation or design.
• Effectively exchanges information with all other departments, in all formats, on matters having a wide range of importance and complexity.
• Coordinate the work of interns, technicians and/or others and provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
• Responsible for continuous self-development of technical skills and competencies.
• Perform activities such as budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting, work order management, in support of engineering projects.

Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day support and implementation of the quality management system at CFI. They will work closely with manufacturing to ensure that all processes and products are compliant with CFI’s internal requirements, SOP, and in addition to ISO 9001:2015 standards. They will also execute and support LEAN principles with the CFI manufacturing process.
Job Duties:
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with customers and internal SOP requirements. • Implement quality inspection and monitor manufacturing process for quality control purposes
• Generate various inspection reports and execute root cause analysis
• Do the sampling and testing if needed
• Determine appropriate quality metrics for manufacturing processes
• Provide support and guidance to other departments when needed
• Report to management team weekly & monthly regarding quality metrics.
• Review and update SOP and other technical documentation as required.
• Paperwork preparation and other support when company starts to move forward to ISO9001:2015.

8 Hour Shift – Day Shift – Monday to Friday- 1 hour lunch.

Job Summary:
Carbon Felt, Inc., a growing company in the world of high temperature graphite furnace insulation and carbon/carbon composites, is looking for a Wire Saw Operator at our company in Claremont, NH. The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented, have a passion to learn, and have great work ethics. This role is essential for ensuring the precision and quality of our products, as well as maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
Job Duties:
• Receive training to operate Wire Saws to produce high-quality components from our carbon composites insulation materials.
• Learn to perform setup Wire Saws, ensuring proper alignment and functionality before machine runs.
• Receive training to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for cutting processes.
• Deliver the materials safely from warehouse to wire saw station by using forklift, powerlift, pallet jack etc.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and maintain efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Learn to perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Work Schedule:
Day Shift – Monday to Friday-6:00am-2:30pm.
Education:
- High school or equivalent and/or vocational training or an apprenticeship.
Requirements:
· Five years of experience in CNC machinery maintenance and troubleshooting or a related position; Five years of experience with CNC programming (G-code/M-code) and machining of carbon composites, graphite, and insulation materials; Five years of experience with CNC control systems such as Siemens, Fanuc, or Mitsubishi.
· Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, inspection instruments (including calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines), and 1Factory software.
